I had the pleasure of dealing with Talija's Director, Dragan Pantelic and his assistant Simonida in planning their first performance in San Diego in 2012. They were responsive, organized, humble, and very accommodating with the arrangements. From the moment the performance started, it was apparent this was going to be the best presentation of Serbian/Balkan song and dance in America! Seeing a Talija performance has inspired Morava Folklore Ensemble to reach new heights.  Colorful, lively and exciting, all come to mind when describing a Talija show. Whenever you have a chance to see them, don't miss it and make sure to take your American friends so they can see Serbian song and dance presented in a contemporary and artistic fashion. Their stage presence and universal appeal make it a must see! The leaders and dancers of this group are nice people and excited to share their love of dance with all. We cannot wait to see them again in San Diego on October 12, 2014.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 51st Lefkas International Folklore Festival allow me to express our enthusiasm for the excellent appearances of your group on the stage of the festival.

It is always a great satisfaction for the organizers of the festival to be able to have such authentic groups in the festival.

Your group presented excellent performances and amazed the audience with your choreographies and costumes. The music and songs of the live orchestra with its traditional musical instruments took us all to an imaginary journey in your beautiful country.

Furthermore during the week of the festival you were in perfect collaboration with the organizers and with the other participants of the festival.

Excellent choreography, stage presentation, and step sequencing. Overall an outstanding, topnotch, and universally appealing ensemble. I would recommend that future venues either be a church hall or high school with a full stage to properly accommodate all of your dancers and musicians.

Lifeline Chicago has been captivated by the performance of Talia dance group for several years.  Lifeline Chicago hosts Flavors of Serbia and have had the pleasure of having Talia as our main performers.   From toddlers to Baba’s, feet are tapping, hands are clapping and a joy permeates  the room as all eyes are set on these young and talented dancers.  The choreography is astounding, the costumes are fabulous and the energy radiates throughout the room.  One dance is more beautiful than the next keeping people wanting more.  Their performances have brought smiles on HRH Crown Prince Aleksandar and HRH Crown Princess Katherine as well as everyone in attendance.

The group prompted standing ovations three years ago with its energetic leaps and gymnastic moves, authentic costumes and Serbian musical instruments such as the frula, which resembles a small flute. The group had such a great stage presence and interacted wonderfully with the crowds, I think they definitely set a precedent and people should expect to see another great show this year.

 “TALIJA” is an outstanding group.  They are talented, lively, colorful and well disciplined.  They have been a favorite of our audiences, having appeared in our Festival twice in recent years, the last time being in 2012, and having visited here one other time to take part in a fund raising event.  Adding to above comments about the group’s performances, we should also state that “TALIJA’s”  management has been fully reliable and prompt in planning and communications.
